St.Patrick’s Day
It is the date that Saint Patrick died. Saint Patrick is the man who is said to have introduced the catholic religion to Ireland. He tried to explain “the trinity” (3 people in the one god) with a three leafed plant called a shamrock. Hence the shamrock has significance for the day. Originally the day was important only in Ireland but because of the large numbers of Irish people who emigrated abroad and the colorfulness of the celebration the tradition spread around the world.
An incredibly annoying time when Americans forget that they’re American and run around trying desperately to out-Irish each other with needlessly gaudy green clothing exacerbated by their all-too-often overweight frames. This time is made all the worse by the perceived need to drink as much imitation Guiness, vomit on aforementioned green clothing then try to kiss strangers and get punched for your trouble.

Its not the alcol. I shwear. It was the geeen color in mah ber. Everyone should honor the saints by getting completely wasted and making an utter mockery out of themselves. The saint had to be pious to make the list so we party hard for their sake and in their honor! If you can’t understand that then you must be one of those UVF bastards. HOOLIGANS FOR A DAY! To honor our saints. Give to charity? Honor the dead with prayer? Hell no. Thats for non irish wussies!
